Description

The Granary is the ground floor of a former corn mill dating back to the late 1800's. The Granary is of granite construction, some of the original stone walls have been left unplastered and the enormous beams are supported by cast iron pillars. It now offers comfortable holiday accommodation with two en suite bedrooms, a large sitting room (with huge sofa to curl up on) and well equipped kitchen. There is an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and dryer.

Original paintings and prints, a small library of books, games, dvds and maps of the local area have been placed to enhance your holiday experience. We also offer FREE WIFI.

Outside is parking for two cars, a pleasant sitting out area ideal for barbecues and alfresco dining and access to grounds of two acres.

Walk alongside the river and enjoy the bluebells in the spring, or later in the year the masses of foxgloves. Perhaps you may be lucky enough to spot some of the wildlife which share our grounds - rabbits, foxes and badgers or a fleeting glimpse of the deer which visit us. Or walk even further to the Eden Project - we have direct access on to the miles of trails which criss cross the area - the south coast at Pentewan and Mevagissey.
Visit the many National Trust properties in the area: Lanhydrock, Trelissick Gardens or Cotehele slightly further away. Caerhays Castle in the spring for its magnificent magnolias.

Learn a new sport: try surfing at Newquay or canoeing on the River Fowey. Horse riding at the stables close by or sailing at Porthpean. Or enjoy the spectacular beaches of the north coast and the more gentle sea of the south coast.

The Granary is approached by four shallow steps and is all on the one floor so is perfect for those with limited mobility.

Holiday periods are totally flexible to suit your preferences: one day upwards beginning on any day of the week subject to availability. Discounts for stays of 7 days or more.
